Everett Collection Historical. (n.d.). Stuffed Ancon Ram, with abnormally short front legs, Dec. 4, 1938. In 1791 a natural mutation occurred producing a male lamb with a incredibly short of front legs. Within several generations, farmer Seth Wright created a new breed, the Ancon sheep.
